If I were always washed,
And my face would shine.
I wouldn't be like a beaten dog,
Like a hybrid with one egg.
I wouldn't get up at dawn,
Wondering where to find lunch,
I would always sleep with the light on,
If light were cheap.
I would wash with water,
From the tap, as if from a pond.
I would soak in the bath for a long time,
If that water were cheap.
I wouldn't walk to work,
Exclusively on foot.
I would only travel by car,
And with a powerful engine.
I would dress like a dandy,
Always loving myself,
And I would admire myself,
And I would be, and I would be, not I.
I would be full and all washed,
And my face would shine.
I wouldn't walk like a beaten dog,
Like a hybrid with one egg.
And there would be a wife and children,
And I would greet the dawn at daybreak.
If I had that dough,
And with cheap water and light.
